The Income Tax Department recently warned taxpayers about "pending refund" or "refund delay" messages. According to 'TaxBuddy' on X, the message contains a link that, upon clicking, redirects the user to a fake website that looks like the Income Tax Portal and asks for PAN, login ID, and password. Once shared, the fraudsters gain access to their accounts.
