The 'Sion Model' is a labour induction method developed at Mumbai’s Sion Hospital using a 24-French Foley’s catheter with Dinoprostone gel. The catheter mechanically opens the cervix while the drug aids cervical ripening. This simple, low-cost combination has significantly improved labour progression and increased successful vaginal deliveries.
