In a major achievement, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully tested a liquid rocket engine made with the help of additive manufacturing technology, commonly known as 3D printing. The new engine, now a single piece, saves 97% of raw materials and reduces production time by 60%, ISRO said. The made-in-India engine was built by WIPRO 3D.
