What is the cost of shielding Indian citizens from global energy crisis?

The Indian government is taking a loss of ₹14,000 crore/month by reducing oil excise duty to shield citizens from the shocks of the global energy crisis amid US-Iran tensions, as per Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas’s Joint Secretary Sujata Sharma. Moreover, she said Oil Marketing Companies are losing ₹30,000 crore/month by selling petrol, diesel and LPG at lower prices.
