What is the difference between expiry date and best before date?
short by Daisy Mowke / on Saturday, 1 June, 2024
The best before date indicates the date up to which food is in perfect shape to consume, as per FSSAI. After this date, food may lose taste, freshness, aroma or nutrients. It doesn't necessarily mean the food is no longer safe to eat. Date of expiry on the other hand indicates the date after which food is unsafe to consume.
