What is the difference between sugar-free and no added sugar?

Food products and drinks which are labelled sugar-free or zero-sugar contain less than 0.5 grams of sugar per serving. Such products artificial sweeteners like aspartame, sucralose and stevia, among others. Meanwhile, items labelled as no added sugar are those in which no sugar was added during processing or packaging but might contain naturally occurring sugars.
