According to US' National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Death Valley set the world's surface air temperature record of 56.7°C on July 10, 1913. The coldest temperature ever measured on Earth is -89.2°C, recorded at Vostok Station, Antarctica, on July 21, 1983. Notably, Earth's inner core reaches temperatures of 5,300°C.
