Madurai-born Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, an alumnus of Wharton, Stanford University and IIT Kharagpur, worked at McKinsey & Co before joining Google in 2004. Credited for making the Google Chrome browser, Pichai took over Android business from its founder Andy Rubin. He was named head of Google's products before being promoted as Google CEO when Alphabet was created in 2015.
