The Mumbai Climate Action Plan announced by the Maharashtra government on Sunday aims towards zero emission of greenhouse gas or a net-zero target for 2050. Mumbai's target puts it two decades ahead of India's national goal of cutting its emissions to net-zero by 2070. It proposes large-scale changes on priority across six strategic areas.
