National Pension System is a government-sponsored, voluntary, long-term retirement investment plan that aims to ensure financial security for retired Indians. Citizens aged between 18 and 70 years can join NPS through eNPS portal or offline at Point of Presence-Service Provider. A minimum contribution of ₹500 is required to open a Tier-I account, with a minimum annual contribution of ₹1,000.
