ISRO is scheduled to launch the INSAT-3DS satellite from Sriharikota aboard the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) on February 17. The GSLV was labelled the "Naughty Boy" of ISRO because of its 40% failure rate. It is a 51.7 metre long, three-stage launch vehicle with a liftoff mass of 420 tonne. The scheduled launch will mark the GSLV's 16th flight.
