European Union has launched its digital Entry and Exit System (EES). This is an automated system that will eventually replace manual stamping of passports. It'll track movement of non-EU citizens within Schengen area. Under EES, non-EU citizens will have to register by having fingerprints and photograph taken while entering and leaving the zone. Their passport will also be scanned.
