Authorities from several states have warned people about Pink WhatsApp scam, based on a Central government advisory. "A fake link that is masked as an official update...is sent to Android users. Upon clicking it, malicious software may get installed...The user's phone can be infected and it can also infect mobiles of people who contact the user over WhatsApp," it said.
