A probe has been launched after Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar's son Parth Pawar allegedly bought 40-acre government plot worth ₹1,800 crore in Pune's upscale area for ₹300 crore. The land was reserved for Dalits and required prior government approval for sale. Parth's Amadea Holdings also received a stamp duty waiver, citing that a data centre could come up there.
