What is the retirement age of Supreme Court and High Court judges?

Supreme Court judges in India retire at 65, while High Court judges retire at 62, as defined by Articles 124(2) and 217(1) of the Constitution. District judges retire at 60. Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal clarified in the Rajya Sabha that there is no proposal to increase these ages or introduce a post-retirement “cooling-off” period for judges.
