Magh Mela is held annually at Prayagraj’s Triveni Sangam during month of Magh. According to belief, bathing at Sangam during Magh Mela cleanses sins and grants nectar-like virtues. It's considered one of the largest and oldest spiritual events. Devotees perform Kalpvas by building tents on the riverbanks. Magh Mela becomes Kumbh every fourth year and Maha Kumbh every 12th year.
