A drug called Xylazine or 'zombie drug' is reportedly being found mixed with fentanyl and other illicit drugs in several major US cities. The drug has sedative-like symptoms, including extreme sleepiness and respiratory depression, and may cause 'skin-rot' in users. Xylazine use may lead to raw wounds that can become severe, and may even result in amputation if left untreated.
