Trigeminal neuralgia, the disorder Salman Khan suffers from, is a chronic pain disorder that involves sudden attacks of severe facial pain. It arises from irritation of trigeminal nerve, which provides nerve signaling to parts of head and face. Its symptoms are stabbing or shock-like pain, usually on one side of face, with burning or tingling aching sensations in between attacks.
