Centre has warned citizens against using phone charging ports at public places like airports, cafes and hotels while asking people to be cautious of 'USB charger scam'. Cybercriminals may use charging ports at public places for malicious activities, it warned. This includes installation of malicious apps, encryption of device and asking for ransom to restore it and stealing data.
