A VBIED, or Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device, is a bomb hidden inside a vehicle and used to cause maximum damage in crowded areas. In Delhi's Red Fort attack, Dr Umar turned a car into VBIED after securing it with the help of Amir Rashid Ali. Umar drove the explosive-packed vehicle himself, causing a blast that killed at least 13 people.
