Vitamin D toxicity is a rare condition that occurs due to excessive amounts of vitamin D in the body and is usually caused by large doses of vitamin D supplements. Its main consequence is a buildup of calcium in blood (hypercalcemia), which may cause nausea, vomiting and frequent urination. An 89-year-old man in UK died from vitamin D supplement's overdose.
