The micronation of 'Westarctica' was founded in 2001 by a US Navy officer, Travis McHenry, who appointed himself as the Grand Duke after exploiting a loophole in Antarctic Treaty System. Westarctica has its flag, currency, but none of the nations recognise it. A man, Harshvardhan Jain, was arrested in UP's Ghaziabad for claiming to be its envoy for seven years.
