As many as 11 people were killed and 47 injured in stampede outside Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium during RCB’s IPL title celebrations. Over two lakh people had gathered outside the stadium, with many pushing against the gates trying to enter. According to Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, several gates were broken in the chaos. The police also resorted to lathi-charge, as per eyewitnesses.
