What overseas coaches say goes over heads of Indian players in IPL: Gavaskar

Ex-India captain Sunil Gavaskar said many Indian IPL players come from the country's interiors, where English isn't widely spoken. "When...overseas coach is speaking, much of what he says goes over...heads of these young players," Gavaskar added. "It makes perfect sense for...franchises to hire...Indian as an assistant coach who can translate and convey what overseas coach is saying," he stated.
