A woman was killed by a shooting stone along the Baltal route of the Amarnath Yatra in J&K's Ganderbal district on Wednesday. Shooting stones refers to rocks or stones that dislodge from a hillside or mountain slope and tumble down onto the road due to natural forces like rainfall, erosion, or seismic activity, Livemint reported. These stones may trigger landslides.
