What's a ‘Blood Moon’, rare celestial event to be visible tonight?

A Blood Moon, or total lunar eclipse, occurs when the Sun, Earth, and Moon align. In this arrangement, the Earth moves directly between Sun and Moon, blocking sunlight and casting a shadow on Moon. Unlike a solar eclipse, in which Moon blocks Earth's view of the Sun and briefly darkens the day, the lunar eclipse gives Moon a reddish glow.
