What's the difference between Budget Estimate & Revised Estimate?

Budget estimates are the expected revenue and expenditure of various departments and programmes in the upcoming financial year. The government prepares budget estimates before the start of the financial year based on the pre-budget consultations. Revised estimates are usually presented mid-year to showcase updated projections of a government's revenue and expenditure for the year.
