What's the difference between emotional burnout and stress?

Stress is our body's natural response in times of threat or requests, such as important exam or a significant assignment at work, while emotional burnout occurs when you are constantly stressed, as per Fortis Hospital's neurologist Dr Praveen Gupta. While stress at times can be good as it can help you overcome challenges, burnout can cause physical symptoms, he added.
