The alleged IRCTC scam took place when Lalu Prasad Yadav was serving as the Railway Minister. The CBI has alleged that contracts for the two IRCTC hotels were awarded to a company through a manipulated tender. In return, land worth around ₹94 crore was reportedly sold for just ₹65 lakh to a company allegedly linked to the Lalu family.
