What should employees in India know as Microsoft offers to pay 60,000 staffers to resign?

Microsoft has offered 60,000 employees in India, US, UK and Canada a buyout for quitting voluntarily. The offer is restricted to eligible employees in participating organisations, but Microsoft hasn't disclosed how many employees in India qualify for the buyouts. Eligible employees have until December 1 to decide, and if they accept the offer, they're expected to leave by December 31.
