What should you do if you receive a threat notification from Apple?

Apple users who receive a mercenary spyware threat notification should enable Lockdown Mode, update to the latest software and turn on two factor authentication, the company says. It also advises using a strong, unique Apple Account password and installing apps only from the App Store. Apple directs recipients to Access Now's Digital Security Helpline.
