Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Thursday that the company will begin showcasing AI characters/avatars created by developers through Meta’s AI studio on Instagram. The initial tests will begin in the U.S. This announcement comes on the same day that a16z-backed chatbot company Character.AI is rolling out the ability for users to interact with AI avatars via phone calls.
