The government has shared the size of Union Budget presented in the country since 1952-53. The total expenditure in 1952-53 Union Budget was ₹401 crore, which was the lowest, followed by ₹439 crore in 1953-54 Union Budget. The highest total expenditure in Union Budget is estimated at ₹47,65,768 crore in 2024-25. It was ₹45,03,097 crore in 2023-24 Union Budget.
