WhatsApp has begun rolling out a new feature to protect chat backups stored on Apple and Google's cloud services with end-to-end encryption. Users can secure their backup with a password of their choice or a 64-digit encryption key. "Neither WhatsApp nor your backup service provider will be able to read your backups or access the key...to unlock it," WhatsApp said.
