WhatsApp, the popular mobile messaging service owned by Facebook, has hit 700 million monthly active users mark. The instant messaging service reached 600 million active users mark in August last year. According to the company, WhatsApp gained 300 million users in about one year. Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that WhatsApp may reach the billion-user mark very soon.
