WhatsApp is working on a feature that will let users transfer their chat history from their old Android device to a new one without having the need to back up the data on Google Drive, WaBetaInfo reported. The chat transfer feature will work through a QR code, it stated. The feature is reportedly being developed for a future WhatsApp update.
