In order to stop the circulation of fake news, WhatsApp is testing a new feature for groups which will let users block 'frequently forwarded' messages. The new setting will be visible only to group admins who can block such messages. WhatsApp's also working on a 'forwarding info' feature to let users determine how many times a message has been forwarded.
