When are indirect free-kicks given from inside the penalty box?

Indirect free-kicks inside the penalty box are awarded when a goalkeeper holds the ball for more than six seconds before releasing it. It can also be given if a goalkeeper touches the ball again with their hand after releasing it, before it touches another player or if the goalkeeper handles the ball deliberately kicked/thrown-in back to them by a teammate.
