When is Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) less effective?

Dr Sarthak Dave says, CBT may be less effective when thoughts are so intense and frequent that the person cannot step back and evaluate them. It may also not work when a person lacks insight into their thinking patterns, has low motivation to participate, faces cognitive limitations, or is dealing with severe or complex mental health conditions requiring additional treatment.
