When the President vetoed the Post Office Bill

On Monday, the Parliament passed the Post Office Bill which empowers the government to intercept any item. However, in 1987, President Zail Singh refused to grant his assent to a similar Bill passed by Rajiv Gandhi's government. The President must sign a Bill passed by the Parliament, however, there is no time period stipulated. Singh acted on this constitutional ambiguity.
