The deepwater Krishna-Godavari (KG) basin, including its three fields - R Cluster, Satellites Cluster, and MJ, is one of the major contributors to India's piped gas production. The fields reportedly account for 25% of India's net production. The basins in Assam and Tripura contribute to 13% production.
