Which acid suits your skin, AHA or BHA?

Dermatologist Dr Karan Malhotra explains that AHAs, such as glycolic and lactic acid, mainly exfoliate the skin surface and may suit dry or uneven skin, while BHA, mainly salicylic acid, penetrates pores and suits oily, acne-prone skin. For Indian skin, he advises starting slowly, avoiding combined use, and applying sunscreen to reduce irritation and pigmentation.
