The four Indian cough and cold syrups WHO has warned about include Promethazine Oral Solution, Kofexmalin Baby Cough Syrup, Makoff Baby Cough Syrup and Magrip N Cold Syrup. WHO said the manufacturer, Haryana's Maiden Pharmaceuticals Limited, has not provided guarantees on safety and quality of these products. The syrups have been linked to 66 deaths among children in Gambia.
