Among the top-ranked non-IIT engineering colleges in India, as per NIRF Rankings, National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli is ranked the best. It's followed by BITS Pilani, NIT Rourkela, SRM Institute of Science and Technology Chennai, Vellore Institute of Technology, NIT Karnataka (Surathkal), Jadavpur University, Anna University Chennai, NIT Calicut and Siksha O Anusandhan Bhubaneswar.
