According to Bloomberg, Tokyo is the best place for expats to live in Asia. "Many living costs in the Japanese capital are lower than other financial hubs in the regions," the Bloomberg report said. Tokyo is followed by Hong Kong, Shanghai, Sydney and Singapore. The report added that Singapore's expensive housing challenged expats in 2023.
