IMD released the minimum temperature of cities in the plains of north India on January 1, 2024. Delhi's Ridge recorded a low of 8.6°C, whereas temperature in Haryana's Hisar and Bhiwani dipped to 8.3°C. The temperature in Punjab's Patiala was at 7°C, 6°C in Rajasthan's Sikar and 7.6°C in Uttar Pradesh's Sultanpur. The temperature in MP's Khajuraho dipped to 9°C.
