Hong Kong has emerged as the world's least affordable city to buy a home in with an 'impossibly unaffordable' rating of 16.7, according to annual Demographia International Housing Affordability report. It is followed by Sydney, Vancouver, San Jose, Los Angeles and Honolulu. Other cities where it's most expensive to buy a home are Melbourne, San Francisco, Adelaide, San Diego, Toronto.
