PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Ganga Expressway connecting Meerut in western Uttar Pradesh to Prayagraj in the eastern part of the state. The expressway runs through 12 districts of UP and covers cities like Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Budaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli and Pratapgarh. Expressway has reduced travel time between Meerut and Prayagraj to around 6-8 hours.
