In 2024, Indians made up 71% of the 3,99,395 recipients of US' H-1B visas, with China a distant second at 11.7%. The two countries were followed by Philippines (1.3%), Canada (1.1%) and South Korea (1%). Mexico, Taiwan, Pakistan, Brazil and Nigeria accounted for less than 1% each.
