The United States of America has the highest gold reserves at 8,133 tonnes, followed by Germany (3,351 tonnes), Italy (2,451 tonnes), France (2,437 tonnes) and Russia (2,335 tonnes). China is ranked sixth at 2,264 tonnes, while Switzerland (1,040 tonnes) and Japan (846 tonnes) are ranked seventh and eighth, respectively. India is ninth on the list with 840 tonnes.
